Advanced technology. Better recovery.

For hospital-based procedures, many of our physicians use the da Vinci® Surgical System, allowing for highly precise, minimally invasive surgery designed to support a smoother recovery.

Benefits:

  • Smaller incisions
  • Less pain
  • Faster recovery
  • Less scarring
  • Reduced blood loss
  • Shorter hospital stays

Still have questions?

Can my procedure be done in the office?

While we are proud to offer many in-office procedures, not every procedure can be performed in-office. Options like LEEPs, hysteroscopies, and endometrial ablations often can, though. Your surgeon will help you determine the best setting (in-office or hospital-based) for your procedure during your consultation.

What are the benefits of an in-office procedure?

In-office procedures can offer a more convenient, friendly experience, often with lower out-of-pocket costs and an easier recovery than procedures performed under general anesthesia. You can also maintain your normal morning routine, including eating breakfast before your procedure!

What are the benefits of minimally invasive surgery?

Minimally invasive surgery uses smaller incisions to reduce pain, blood loss, scarring, and recovery time. It can often allow you to return to your normal activities sooner than traditional open surgery. Your surgeon will recommend the approach that’s right for your condition and goals. At Diana Health, we believe you deserve to understand your options and feel confident in your care plan. Minimally invasive surgery is often able to treat the same conditions as open surgery, just with a gentler path back to your life.

How long is recovery after minimally invasive surgery?

Recovery depends on the procedure and your individual needs, but many patients recover within 1–2 weeks. After an office-based procedure, you can typically return to normal activities within 24 hours. Your surgeon will provide specific recovery instructions.

What is robotic gynecologic surgery?

Robotic surgery is a type of minimally invasive surgery that uses state-of-the-art technology to help your surgeon perform precise procedures through small incisions. What makes this approach unique is the precision it gives your surgeon. Three-dimensional, magnified visualization and wristed instruments that move more like a human hand allow for exceptionally precise movement in tight or delicate spaces — which matters for procedures like hysterectomy, myomectomy (fibroid removal), and the treatment of endometriosis. This tremor-reduction and enhanced precision has expanded what’s possible with minimally invasive techniques, especially for more complex conditions. Your surgeon remains in complete control throughout the procedure. Robotic surgery isn’t the right fit for every situation, and that’s okay. Your surgeon will recommend the approach (traditional laparoscopy, robotic-assisted surgery, or open surgery) that best fits your body, your diagnosis, and what matters most to you.

Whether you’re looking for answers, exploring your options, or seeking a second opinion, our experienced OB/GYN physicians are here to help you take the next step with confidence. Schedule a visit today to discuss what the right options are for you.
