James Nix, MD, FACOG is a board-certified OB/GYN with more than two decades of experience caring for women through every stage of life. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Alabama, completed medical school at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, and went on to complete his OB/GYN residency at the University of Tennessee in Memphis.

Throughout his career, Dr. Nix has been dedicated to advancing women’s health and improving quality of life through compassionate, evidence-based care. His clinical interests include minimally invasive and robotic surgery, endometriosis, abnormal uterine bleeding, hormone balance, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), and both high-risk and low-risk obstetrics.

Dr. Nix’s passion for women’s health stems from witnessing how often women’s symptoms and concerns are overlooked. He believes every patient deserves to be heard, taken seriously, and cared for by a physician who combines expertise with the latest advances in women’s healthcare. He was drawn to Diana Health because of its commitment to putting women at the center of care and creating an environment where exceptional patient experiences are a core part of the culture.

Outside of work, Dr. Nix enjoys spending time with his wife and pursuing hobbies including fishing, golfing, exercising, traveling, and watching movies.
