At Diana Health, we’re committed to supporting the whole you. Do you ever feel like your good intentions around a healthy lifestyle fall flat? Wellness Coaching may be for you. Our wellness coaching services can help you change your lifestyle habits!

Wellness Coaches partner with their clients to:

  • Create a Vision of Well-being that’s aligned with your values;
  • Break down the vision into small, manageable action steps;
  • Provide Ongoing Support and Accountability to help you reach your goals!

FAQs

How do I know if I’m a good candidate for coaching?2022-04-08T18:15:51-05:00

Ask yourself these questions: 

  • Do I have a specific wellness area I want to focus on? (i.e. exercise, stress, sleep, happy relationships, energy management, etc.)
  • Is this the right time to dedicate myself to making a change? If not, when will the time be right? 
  • How urgent or important is it that I make this change? (i.e. are there serious health repercussions to not making a change?)

If you have an area you want to focus on, you are probably a good candidate for coaching! If it’s not the right time, be realistic with yourself about when it will be. 

If you need help processing any of the above questions, consider a one-time session with a coach to help you decide if coaching is right for you!

How is Coaching different from meeting with a Nutritionist, Exercise Specialist, or Therapist?2022-04-08T18:14:51-05:00

Coaches do not diagnose, interpret labs, or prescribe. We do not create meal plans, exercise routines, or deep dive into your past. Coaches are there to partner with you in a fun, forward-focused interaction to help make your goals a reality, or translate a lifestyle prescription into action. Coaching is a client-centered interaction where you will sit in the driver’s seat and be considered an expert of your body and your life! Coaches are there to mindfully listen and reflect back your values, vision, goals, and help you refine realistic steps to get there! We encourage self- awareness, tracking, accountability, and kind self-talk along your journey! 

How much is Wellness Coaching?2022-04-08T18:13:16-05:00

Currently, the price for private coaching is $100 per session. The first session is 60 minutes, and follow-up sessions are 30 minutes.

We hope that health coaching will be widely reimbursed in the near future. If you cannot afford individual sessions, inquire about one of our group offerings! If you feel like health education and group support would help you re- boot healthy habits, Diana Health offers a range of offerings from free Webinars to longer 10 and 12 week group programs at a lower price point. 

Is Wellness Coaching covered by Insurance?2022-04-08T18:11:05-05:00

Currently, there is no reimbursement for one-on-one Wellness Coaching sessions, but we expect this to change within the next year. Check with your insurance provider to see what might be covered. Depending on your plan, sometimes HSA plans can be used to cover coaching.

What can I expect at my first visit?2022-04-08T17:53:45-05:00

Yes! If you have a treatment plan recommendation from your midwife or doctor, you can work with your wellness coach to help implement the lifestyle changes and troubleshoot barriers/ obstacles that inevitably arise along the way. At Diana Health, we have a shared medical record where we can offer seamless, integrated care for you. 

Before the visit, you’ll receive a short Well-being assessment where you can reflect on your health holistically and identify an area you’d like to focus on. You’ll also be sent a Coaching Agreement to review which outlines your role and the coach’s role in this partnership.

Often times, coaching can begin with a mindfulness activity to help calm the nervous system and open up creative parts of our brain. You can work with your coach to integrate mind-body skills, guided imagery, etc. if these tools are helpful to your health and healing.

During the session, we will: 

  • Discover what well-being means to you
  • Co-create a Wellness Vision
  • Explore your motivations for change – your “why”
  • Identify what knowledge, strengths, and resources you have 
  • Zone in on an action step
  • Create a SMART goal (fun, easy homework)
  • Review Takeaways to Encourage Learning & Growth 
  • Follow up with resources or referrals
  • Develop an Accountability Plan

You can work with your coach to decide on the cadence of sessions (weekly, monthly, etc.) based on your needs.
