Julie Smith, MSN, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC
Psychiatric Mental Health and Family Nurse Practitioner
Julie is a dual certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She is passionate about providing holistic women’s health care across the lifespan. Julie has a wide variety of experience in her 15 years as a Nurse Practitioner.
She has worked in Women’s Health, Family Practice, and Pediatrics. During this time, Julie witnessed how much mental health affects physical health and over all well-being. She developed a passion for helping her patients with their mental health and decided to continue her education. She completed her Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification and is excited to provide women’s mental health care.
Julie received her Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in 2023 from Tennessee Technological University. She is a 2009 graduate of Vanderbilt University earning her Master of Science in Nursing with certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Tennessee Technological University in 2006.
Julie is a native of the Upper Cumberland region. She is originally from Byrdstown but has called Cookeville home for many years. Julie has 2 children and enjoys spending time with them, traveling, hiking, and reading.
