Tabitha James, DNP, APRN, WHNP, FNP-BC, RNC-OB is a Doctor of Nursing Practice specializing in women’s health. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing, a Master of Science in Accounting, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and a post-master’s certification in Women’s Health. Tabitha is board certified as both a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner and a Family Nurse Practitioner, with additional certification in obstetric nursing.
She has served as a contract Nurse Practitioner in OB/GYN at UMass Memorial in Worcester, Massachusetts, and currently provides care in Cookeville and Crossville, Tennessee. Tabitha’s passion for women’s health is rooted in addressing care disparities, serving underrepresented communities, and listening to and supporting women through every stage of life. She values integrated care, offering services that include mental health support, nutritional counseling, and wellness coaching.
Her clinical interests include contraceptive management (including Nexplanon placement and removal), health promotion, prenatal and postpartum care, and STI screening. Outside of work, Tabitha is married with a blended family and six beautiful grandchildren. She loves bargain shopping, enjoys a wide range of music, and relaxes on the beaches of Destin, Florida whenever she can.
