Shawn Wright, PMHNP-BC, is a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with over 15 years experience providing trauma informed care. Her introduction to healthcare began with social services as a crisis counselor followed by a career as a social worker providing individual psychotherapy, group therapy, psychoeducation, and case management. She decided to pursue training and licensure as an APRN with psychiatry specialization due to observing the need for more advanced level providers in the field to assess, diagnose, and prescribe. She has dedicated her work to focus on women’s mental health and, particularly, specialty perinatal mental health for the past few years.

When not working, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and being outdoors.
