CNM
Certified Nurse Midwife, Tennessee Locations
Rachel Ballester, CNM, CLC, has over 10 years of experience providing full-scope care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Her career has spanned a variety of environments, including a hospital-based birth center, community hospitals, a major educational institution, and federally qualified health centers. Throughout her career, she has remained committed to providing women with high-quality, compassionate care, particularly during vulnerable times, which is ultimately what drew her to Diana Health’s model of care.
Rachel’s decision to pursue women’s health was inspired by her earlier work as an assistant at a reproductive health center and later as a doula. She recognized the profound impact that supportive, high-quality care can have on women and their families, especially during pregnancy and birth. This realization motivated her to dedicate her career to improving maternal health outcomes and empowering women to make informed, shared decisions about their care.
Rachel is passionate about providing individualized, respectful care that fosters a strong partnership between patients and providers. She focuses on areas such as prenatal and postpartum care, contraception, menopause, and integrating mental health and mindfulness into routine care. She works to ensure that every woman feels empowered, supported, and involved in the decisions surrounding her health.
Fluent in both English and Spanish, with proficiency in Portuguese, Rachel is dedicated to serving a diverse population. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys spending time with her husband and young son, reading, and being outdoors, cherishing the balance and perspective that time spent in nature brings.
