Dr. James (Tony) Reed, MD, is a board-certified OB/GYN with over 15 years of experience in obstetrics, gynecology, and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. He brings a wealth of clinical and leadership expertise to Diana Health, where he provides full-scope OB/GYN care and supports a patient-centered approach to women’s health.

A native of Asheville, North Carolina, Dr. Reed earned his medical degree from St. Matthew’s University and completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at East Tennessee State University. His diverse background also includes advanced training in chiropractic and clinical laboratory science. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG) and holds medical licenses in multiple states.

Dr. Reed has held numerous leadership roles in both civilian and military settings. He served as Medical Director at AdventHealth in Florida and is currently a Colonel in the U.S. Air Force/Air National Guard, where he commands the 165th Medical Group. Throughout his military and civilian career, he has been recognized for excellence in surgical care, disaster response leadership, and medical education. He performs a high volume of minimally invasive surgeries annually and is skilled in advanced laparoscopic and robotic-assisted techniques.

When he’s not caring for patients, Dr. Reed enjoys staying active through weight lifting and finds relaxation and adventure in scuba diving.
