I always wanted to work in women’s health. But it was my own birth and postpartum experience that gave me the drive to pursue advanced practice as a midwife. I wanted to not only empower and support women through birth but also help them learn their own strength and voice in the process- especially through the postpartum period because I don’t think postpartum care is talked about enough after experiencing it first hand. Diana Health’s model of care is aligned with how I want to practice and treat women- with them in the driver’s seat, looking at the whole person, and professionally being supported by a strong group of midwives.

Emilee DeMar, CNM, always knew she wanted to work in women’s health. But it was her own experience with birth and postpartum care that inspired her to become a midwife and deepened her passion for supporting women through every stage of their journey.

Emilee earned her Master of Science in Nursing with a focus in midwifery from the University of Cincinnati and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from St. John Fisher College. Before becoming a certified nurse-midwife, she spent several years working as a travel nurse and most recently served as a staff nurse at Orange Park Medical Center. She has also provided midwifery care in a previous practice.

Her own postpartum experience showed Emilee just how important it is for women to feel supported, heard, and empowered, not only during pregnancy and birth, but in the weeks and months that follow. She believes every woman deserves to understand her body, trust her voice, and feel confident in her care.

At Diana Health, Emilee is passionate about providing whole-person care that puts women in the driver’s seat. Her clinical interests include well-woman care, prenatal care, labor and delivery, and postpartum care. She is especially grateful to practice alongside a collaborative team of midwives and providers who share her commitment to personalized, relationship-based care.

Outside of work, Emilee enjoys traveling with her husband, their 4-year-old son, and their dogs. Her family loves spending time at the beach, planning cruise vacations, and exploring everything their new home in Jacksonville has to offer, including being just a short drive from Disney.
