I am passionate about creating a safe, supportive space for women of all ages and help them feel heard and valued in their healthcare journey

Specialties: Menopause; sexual health; PCOS; contraception

Charlene Bunger, WHNP-BC, is a board-certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner with nearly three decades of experience in women’s health. She earned her RN from Allen School of Nursing in 1996, received her Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner certification from the Family Planning Council of Iowa in 2000, and completed both her BSN and MSN at the University of Phoenix in 2011. She also holds a CCD (Certified Clinical Densitometrist) certification, earned in 2009.

Charlene provides comprehensive care to women ages 13 and up, with special interests in perimenopause, menopause, sexual health, contraception, STI screening, PCOS, and UTIs. Her clinical experience includes working at HerMD, where she has built a reputation for delivering compassionate, individualized care. She joins Diana Health with a shared value for creating a safe, supportive space where women feel heard, understood, and valued at every stage of life.

Outside of work, Charlene enjoys spending time with her husband and three children (two girls and one boy). She’s a devoted football fan—cheering (and sometimes agonizing) over the Minnesota Vikings and the Iowa Hawkeyes. When she’s not watching a game, you’ll likely find her tending to her yard or indulging in her love of shoes.
