Physician, Medical Director
Dr. Sizemore comes to Diana Health with over 16 years of experience in women’s health. His commitment to excellence in serving the unique needs of women and providing comprehensive, personalized care for them at all stages of life is his passion.
After serving five years as an U.S. Army Ranger, Dr. Sizemore completed his undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of North Florida. He attended medical school at Nova Southeastern University, College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in 2009. He completed his Integrative Medicine fellowship with The Osher Collaborative for Integrative Health in July of 2023, when he received his ABOIM certification.
Following residency training, Dr. Sizemore cared for patients in his private practice in Franklin, TN for six years before returning to academic medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) to teach residents, continue his clinical practice, and create the Women’s Global Health Section – an effort which has played a significant role in reducing the health disparities affecting women in several developing countries. For the last ten years, he has worked both locally and internationally to help meet the health care needs of women in underserved communities. As leader of the Women’s Global Health Section, he established and maintained long-term and bidirectional partnerships with hospitals in Kenya and Haiti, often traveling there to serve in clinics and perform surgery, offer ongoing education in women’s health, as well as providing global surgery training for local physicians and other members of the multidisciplinary medical teams.
Dr. Sizemore’s areas of research include: global surgery training, specifically laparoscopic surgery skills in resource limited settings; curriculum development for resident education in global and community health; and management of postpartum hemorrhage. Dr. Sizemore is a skilled surgeon, performing major and minor gynecological surgeries, including minimally invasive da Vinci robotics technology. He also performs complex obstetrical surgeries and cares for high risk obstetrical patients.
In his free time, Dr. Sizemore enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife, Janie and their four children. He is thrilled to join Diana Health and continue his commitment to work tirelessly to better facilitate healing and overall wellness for the patients he cares for.
