Clinical Focus: Physiologic birth; women’s health; labor support and birth education; contraception and reproductive life planning

Folawe Banigbe, DNP, CNM, WHNP-BC, is a dual board-certified Certified Nurse-Midwife and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate, relationship-centered care for women throughout every stage of life. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, graduating summa cum laude, from Georgia Southern University before completing her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at Georgetown University, where she received dual preparation in Nurse-Midwifery and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner studies.

Before joining Diana Health, Folawe worked as a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse and Charge Nurse at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia. In this role, she cared for women throughout labor, birth, and the postpartum period, participated in obstetric emergency response, and collaborated closely with interdisciplinary teams in a high-acuity obstetric setting. As a charge nurse and clinical preceptor, she also enjoyed mentoring fellow nurses while helping foster a collaborative, supportive environment for both patients and colleagues.

Folawe is passionate about helping women feel informed, empowered, and supported as they navigate every phase of life—from adolescence and reproductive health to pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum recovery, and menopause. She believes in partnering with patients to provide evidence-based care that respects each woman’s unique goals, values, and experiences. She was drawn to Diana Health because of its commitment to relationship-centered care and its mission to transform the healthcare experience for women and families through compassionate, whole-person support.

Outside of work, Folawe enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, mentoring future nurses and advanced practice providers, and advocating for women’s health. She has a passion for lifelong learning, enjoys exploring new cultures, and values opportunities to connect with her community. She is fluent in both English and Yoruba.
