I’ve spent the last 20 years empowering women to make the best healthcare decisions for themselves and their families. It’s a privilege to support them through pregnancy, labor, and postpartum, while building meaningful relationships along the way.

Cara Lawson, CNM, is a compassionate and experienced healthcare provider who has been serving women for over 20 years. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Calvin University, and continued her education with a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Phoenix, becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner. Cara furthered her expertise in women’s health by completing her MSN as a Certified Nurse Midwife at Frontier Nursing University.

Cara has worked as a Certified Nurse Midwife at Vanderbilt in both Springfield and Lebanon, prior to joining Diana Health, and spent 11 years as a Family Nurse Practitioner in Women’s Health at Kaiser Permanente Northern California. While at Kaiser, she was honored to lead the local chapter of the Intimate Violence Prevention Taskforce, showcasing her leadership and advocacy in women’s health.

With a deep passion for empowering women, Cara is dedicated to helping her patients make informed decisions about their health, whether that involves pregnancy, labor, or menopause. She is especially committed to providing personalized birth experiences, supporting women through pregnancy, labor, and the postpartum period, and fostering strong, trusting relationships with the women she cares for.

In her free time, Cara enjoys spending time outdoors, whether in the mountains, at the beach, or on the water. She loves reading and cherishing moments with her family and friends.
