Paige Gernt, MD, is deeply committed to providing exceptional healthcare for women. She was drawn to Diana Health’s comprehensive, patient-centered care model, which aligns with her own philosophy of treating the whole person. Dr. Gernt earned her medical degree from the University of Tennessee in Memphis in 1996 and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, where she served as Chief Resident in 2000.

A respected leader in her field, Dr. Gernt is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG) and a member of several prestigious organizations, including the North American Menopausal Society, THEGOS Society, and the Alpha Honor Society. She is a University of Tennessee Cannon Scholar and has been board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology since 2002. Recently, Dr. Gernt further expanded her expertise by earning certification in da Vinci robotic surgery, enhancing her ability to offer minimally invasive surgical options for her patients.

Dr. Gernt has been an active leader at Cookeville Regional Medical Center, where she has served in various roles, including Chief of Surgery, Vice Chief of Staff, and currently as a member of the Surgery Quality Committee. She also holds the position of Chairman of the Perinatal Committee, where she continues to advocate for high-quality care for expectant mothers.

Originally from Jamestown, Tennessee, Dr. Gernt now resides in Cookeville with her husband, Gordon, and their son. Outside of her medical practice, Dr. Gernt enjoys watching her son play baseball, attending local community events, and spending time with family and friends. Her commitment to both her patients and her community reflects her deep-rooted passion for women’s health and well-being.
